SSESB Construction & Infrastructure Group goes from strength to strength….
The SSESB is a regional subsidiary of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP), with a mission to increase business productivity, investment growth and reduce unemployment within priority sectors, which includes Construction & Infrastructure.
Members look to increase local business growth and work alongside regional Educators, Training Providers, and Local Authorities to increase employment opportunities. Employers collaborate with Colleges and Training Centres to outline the specific skills and qualifications needed to support their business.
Each member has direct access to the Deputy Chair, Julie Poppleton, Director of Careers at Chase Terrace Academy. Through Julie’s involvement with the Careers & Enterprise Company, she positively influences and implements best practice Careers Advice for more than 80 schools throughout Staffordshire. Continually promoting career opportunities, such as Construction & Infrastructure job roles to students and graduates alike.
Existing members of this group include HS2, Staffordshire Highways, Flannery Plant Hire and Finning UK Ltd.
