Congrats & Good Luck to James & Nigel!

Last week two of our core workers, James Brennan & Nigel Quested started their new permanently employed jobs.

James Brennan has worked for Jason (Director) for the last 8 years. Due to the recession he was made redundant from Forkers Ltd. Over this time James successfully completed a variety of assignments as a Groundworker / Multi-ticketed Plant Driver. For the last 2.5 years hes represented ValYou working for J N Bentley Ltd. Our client has recruited James as a full time, directly employed, Leadhand (Ganger).

James commented “I’ve always considered ValYou as my first choice agency to work for. I like their honest approach & helpful staff. I always recommend good workers to ValYou and the not so good workers to other agencies”

Nigel Quested first met Jason on site, 4 years ago. He’d been made redundant from Wildgoose Construction after the project had finished. Nigel’s first assignment as a Telehandler was a long term project at Highley (Shropshire). For the last 18 months we’ve placed him with J Wheawall & Sons, a Civils Contractor undertaking Social Housing projects across the Midlands. Nigel has now started a full time job with this customer.

Nigel said “I would just like to thank ValYou for all the work they have got me over the years, which has led to me getting a permanent position with a contractor. You have always been great to work for & my wages have always been correct & paid on time – unlike other agencies I’ve worked for! Thanks a lot”

Jason Challoner (Director) has worked in Construction Recruitment since 1994 & has never tried to stop anyone from getting a permanent job. He says ”I believe it is unethical to prevent a temporary worker from realising a directly employed position. This is why I’ve always adopted a 13 week temp-to-perm policy where there is no additional fee as long as the worker has undertaken 13 week continuous period. I wish James & Nigel all the best for the future & I’m sure they will keep in touch!”
